Are you interested in "championing" Camp Luther in your congregation? We Need You! We are looking for individuals to serve as Camp Luther Communicators. "CLCs" are spokespersons for camp in their home congregations, among parents, children and church leadership. We need you to encourage support and involvement in the ministry of Camp Luther. Want to help?
As a "CLC" you agree to:
- Represent the best interests of Camp Luther in your congregation.
- Maintain knowledge of Camp Luther camps, programs, cottages, development efforts, staffing, etc.
- Serve as a spokesperson for camp.
- Promote congregation involvement in Camp Luther camps and programs.
- Promote Volunteer and Giving Opportunities
- Promote annual Camp Luther Sunday (first Sunday in June)
- Consider becoming a member of "Friends of Camp" through an annual donation of $100 or more.
- Provide Camp Luther with your email address for regular communications.
- Serve for two years (minimum) and find a replacement once you decide to no longer serve as a CLC.
Camp Luther will:
- Provide you (and your church secretary) with newsletter and bulletin promotional announcements
- Provide you with outlines and ideas for short talks, presentations and events in your congregation.
- Provide you with brochures, handouts, logos and other resources for promotion.
- Value your volunteer time and effort.
- Invite you to our annual Friends of Camp Weekend (starting fall 09)
