Camp Luther is pleased to announce that it will be hosting its 3rd Annual Quilt Auction. Last year over 300 items were donated, and the auction raised nearly $15,000. Our goal for this year is to raise over $20,000! All proceeds will benefit the Camp Luther Scholarship program. This program provides “camperships” to those children who need financial assistance.
To boost attendance at our auction, we will be making some changes for this year. One major change is that we have invited Steve Strey of Osseo, WI to be our new auctioneer. Steve has previously worked with auctions for Eau Claire Lutheran School, and comes highly regarded. We have also put together a comprehensive advertising plan that will boost the number of attendees to the auction. Lastly, we will be providing a few other items (deer hunting rifle, gift baskets from local businesses, etc.) to bid on to bring in more people.
We are excited about the new changes for this year, but we still need quilts! We are asking for any LWML group, quilting guild or individual interested in donating their time and talents to donate a handmade quilt to the Camp Luther Quilt Auction. What kind of quilts are we asking for? We are looking for new quilts for twin, double and queen-sized beds. Table runners, wall-hangings and baby quilts are also great items that
people love to bid on.
Should you choose to participate by donating a quilt, we ask that you send your quilted item to Camp Luther no later than October 1st. Please fill out and send us the quilt information sheet (download on right-hand side of screen) along with your quilt so that we can easily catalog and accurately display your quilt. Once that is done, we invite you to join us at the quilt auction to see how your donation of time and talent directly benefits the ministry of Camp Luther.
