1000 New Partners in Ministry

The Thrivent Financial for Lutherans Foundation has graciously extended the 1000 New Partners in Ministry grant through 2009! More than 300 joined us in 2008 but we need 700 new donors in 2009 to reach out goal. If we reach that goal the Thrivent Foundation will award Camp Luther $25,000 ($10,000 already received). Those funds are planned to be used in the construction of a new climbing tower at Camp Luther.
Our challenge continues in 2009. If our goal is reached, we will award five new congregations with $1000 credit for use at Camp Luther for gathering the most new $100 Camp Luther donors in 2009. A donor can support Every Kid to Camp, mortgage reduction, Campership, whatever they like. For more information and details go to campluther.com and click on the 1000 New Partners logo. To help in the effort I would be glad to visit your congregation or provide you with brochures, giving envelopes, etc. Remember, the donor must indicate which congregation they belong to. Camp Luther has been blessed with a huge challenge. The Thrivent Financial for Lutherans Foundation has promised Camp Luther $35,000 if we are able to gather gifts from 1000 “new” donors in 2008!
While one thousand donors is a tremendous challenge, we are confident of the overall love and support that exists for Camp Luther. We know that over the last 62 years many thousands of families and individuals have felt God’s blessings through the ministry of Camp Luther. We believe that sense of gratitude will inspire many, and the result will be that we exceed our goal.
Please consider a gift to Camp Luther and help us reach this challenge. All donors contributing $100 or more for the first time or not in the last five years will be counted as a New Partner in Ministry. Monthly installments are welcomed. Gifts can be directed to one of the special funds listed on the interior of this brochure, or simply given to camp without designation. Checks should be written to Camp Luther. You will find a form you can download on this page. You can also make your donation online by clicking the link on the right. Everyone who gives will be recognized as a Friend of Camp in our newsletter unless otherwise directed.
