Village Construction is Underway!
	The new TreeHouse and Tower villages are taking shape.  Over 60 men and women volunteers over the course of this week are making amazing progress on this exciting project.  Click on the link on the left of this page for photos of the progress.  Great work volunteers!

Hearts For Jesus
	Each February, NWD Lutheran Schools pool their chapel offerings to support one mission project, selected by the District.  This year, Camp Luther was pleased to have been chosen to be the 2008 recipient of the Hearts For Jesus offerings.  All of the chapel offerings for the month of February from NWD Lutheran Schools were specifically applied towards the remodeling of Tower Village.  When the project is finished, a plaque will commemorate the children's efforts; look for it when you next visit Camp Luther!

Golf Challenge
	Let's take a "slice" out of the Camp Luther debt!  Gather a foursome and join us for the 2008 Camp Luther Golf Challenge at the *Northwood Golf Club in Rhinelander, WI, on Saturday, June 7.  (*A Golf Digest 5-Star Course)   Thanks to the sponsorship of MCL Industries, Inc., 100% of your minimum $200 contribution will be applied toward debt retirement! NEW!!! Hole-in-One Competition for major prize. An entertaining 3-part 18-hole tournament:  Scramble, Best Ball, and Alternating Shot. 1000 New Partners In Ministry
	Camp Luther has received a $35,000 Challenge Grant from Thrivent Financial For Lutherans, as part of the foundation’s Lutheran Grant Program “designed to help Lutheran institutions and organizations take advantage of unique growth and service opportunities.”   The challenge is entitled 1,000 New Partners in Ministry and is to add 1,000 new donors to our rolls before the end of 2008!  All donors contributing $100 or more for the first time or not in the last five years will be counted as New Partners in Ministry.  Monthly installments are welcome.  Camp Luther has already received the first $10,000 check, with the remaining $25,000 to be paid when the challenge is met!

Quilt Auction
	This coming summer, Camp Luther is introducing an exciting new opportunity to support its ministry to the children and families of the North Wisconsin District.  On July 26th, 2008, Camp Luther will be hosting its first ever QUILT AUCTION.  All proceeds will be used to support Camp Luther in its goal to build up the body of Christ.
